Town Dump

Town Dump (transfer site)

The Town Dump Site attendant is Scott Goode.  Please remember to bring your Dump Pass to let Scott know you are authorized to bring in garbage as well as recycleables.

Summer hours for the town dump are now effective as of Memorial day and the dump is open Saturday 9 AM to 1 PM and Sunday noon to 3 PM.

Winter hours for the town dump are effective as of December 1st and the dump is open Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM only.

Use of the dump in 2017 will be paid for by your tax statement special charge of $30 for the year.  You will receive a dump pass card and sheet of paper telling what is recycleable, what is garbage and what is not accepted at the dump site.  If you have improvements on your property and didn't get a special charge for the dump on your tax statement, please contact Chris Frydrych.

Garbage needs to be bagged and placed in the garbage dumpster.

All plastics, glass and cans should be dumped into the recylable dumpster marked for plastics, glass and cans.

All paper and all cardboard (should be flattened) should be dumped into the recyclable dumpster marked for cardboard and paper.

Clothes items can be dropped off at the dump site and they will be taken to Goodwill or St. Vincent DePaul when we have enough.

Please recycle as much as possible because we pay for garbage, but not for recyclables.

A large dumpster will be at the dump site starting May 13th and stopping June 3rd for large items.  We cannot accept asbestos, wet paint, anti-freeze, solvents, liquid acid, tires, batteries, TV's,  refrigerators, stoves, air conditioners or any chemicals including oil.  This dumpster will be available for the month or until filled whichever comes first.  Note that there will only be 2 dumpsters this year (to keep expenses down).

A large dumpster will be at the dump site starting September 1st and stopping September 16th for large items.  We cannot accept asbestos, wet paint, anti-freeze, solvents, liquid acid, tires, batteries, TV's, refrigerators, stoves, air conditioners or any chemicals including oil.  This dumpster will be available for the month or until filled whichever comes first.

As Spring approaches that means bears.  We have garbage dumpsters that will keep bears out of the dumpsters when they are closed and locked.
